At the ZAZ plant I will assemble new Renault cars. What cars will be assembled, the development of the car industry in Ukraine.
Until recently, the automobile plant in Zaporozhye (Ukraine) was going through hard times. The assembly and production of cars was started and stopped, and each time the reason was a drop in demand and the economic situation. Now, after a large-scale modernization of ZAZ, new Renault cars will be assembled on its basis, which should satisfy the demand in the domestic automotive market of Ukraine.
The ZAZ plant was modernized as much as possible in order to fully comply with all Renault Group standards. An example of modernization is the modern quality standardization system RNMA (Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance). This is the first indicator that the quality of car assembly in Ukraine will meet European standards, which means it will be no worse than the assembly of Renault cars in other countries.
Unfortunately, it has not yet been specified which Renault models will be assembled at ZAZ facilities in Ukraine. In all likelihood, now there are economic calculations and trial production of various models, which will show the further path of the plant. If you believe the statistics of a new assembly, then on average the company should produce 150 thousand cars per year.
Many experts say that most likely the plant will start from small models, hatchbacks and budget sedans. The Sandero, Logan models fall under these parameters, and the Duster crossover is also not excluded. Most likely, representatives of the ZAZ plant will open the most information by the time the first assembled Renault car comes off the assembly line. It is not excluded that the establishment of a local assembly of Renault cars in Ukraine will lower the total cost of models, which will also lead to an increase in demand for models of domestic assembly.
