  • The most "hardy" electric cars

No matter how attractive and high-quality electric cars are, the key indicator when choosing a "green" car was and remains such a parameter as a power reserve. That is why we have prepared a small rating of electric vehicles with the greatest range.

The rating took into account research data within the framework of MLTP - an international test procedure for passenger cars.

The most "hardy" electric cars

7th place - Hyundai Kona Electric

The 2018 Geneva Motor Show premiered the Hyundai Kona Electric, an all-electric version of the regular Hyundai Kona.

The car has an attractive appearance, a rethought interior (in comparison with other models of the company), as well as a roomy interior and a rich list of basic and optional equipment.

The choice of buyers is offered in several versions of the model, the most powerful of which is equipped with a 204-horsepower electric motor and a 64 kW battery. This is enough for the car to change a hundred in 7.4 seconds, be able to accelerate to the maximum 167 km / h, and also overcome the maximum 470 km on a single charge.

The manufacturer says that using a 100-kilowatt charger, the car will be charged from 0 to 80% in about 55 minutes.

6th place - Tesla Model Y

In the spring of 2019, the long-awaited debut of the Tesla Model Y midsize electric crossover, decorated in the corporate style of other cars of the company, took place.

As in the case of the “brothers” in the model range, the main asset of the 5-seater saloon is the 15.4-inch touchscreen display, through which all systems of the car are controlled.

Several power plants have been announced for the Model Y, the longest of which is the Long Range RWD version - its power reserve reaches 483 km.

The exact power of the power plant is not announced, but it is known that from one place to a hundred cars fires in just over 5.5 seconds. and can reach a maximum 209 km / h.

5th place - Kia e-Niro

The regular Kia Niro debuted in 2016, and 2 years later, the company introduced its all-electric version, dubbed the e-Niro.

From the point of view of appearance, the electric car almost completely repeats the decision of its gasoline "brother", although it has not been without changes.

So, instead of the usual false radiator grille, a special plastic plug is used, and on the front bumper there are blue decorative inserts, indicating the "green" heart of the car.

The interior decoration is made in the same style as other models of the company - attractive front dash design, quality materials and good build.

The Kia e-Niro is driven by one of two power plants, the older of which generates 136 "horses" and 395 meters of torque.

Immediately, we note that the car accelerates from place to sleep in 9.8 seconds. The motor is powered by a 39.2 kW / h battery, providing a maximum range of 485 km.

4th place - Jaguar I-Pace

This stylish all-wheel drive electric crossover was the first all-electric vehicle ever produced by Jaguar. The car has a stylish appearance, a first-class and roomy interior, as well as "long-range" technical stuffing.

The I-Pace is powered by two electric motors - one for each axle. The power of each engine is equal to 200 "horses" and 348 Nm of thrust, which gives a total of 400 liters. from. and a maximum torque of 696 Nm.

The basic car is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 90 kW / h, which allows to overcome about 480 km on a single charge.

Dynamic characteristics deserve special attention: acceleration from standstill to hundreds in 4.8 seconds, maximum speed - over 200 km / h.

It takes about 13 hours for a car to fully charge from a regular power supply (80% is achieved in 10 hours), but in the case of using a five-kilowatt charge, the time is reduced to 1.5 hours, and in the case of using a 100-kilowatt one - up to 40 minutes.

3rd place - Tesla Model 3

The Tesla Model 3 is a premium mid-size electric sedan that debuted on the global stage in 2016. Serial production of the model started after a year and a half, after which deliveries to customers began immediately.

The car has a stylish, but at the same time laconic appearance, ergonomic interior, where the main element is a 15.4-inch touchscreen monitor.

Despite its relatively small dimensions, the interior of the electric car can easily accommodate 5 passengers.

The top-end equipment of the Long Range sedan is powered by an 85 kW battery, the range of which is enough to cover 499 km. The dynamic characteristics are at the level - acceleration from 0 to 100 in 5.1 seconds, and the maximum speed reaches 225 km / h.

2nd place - Tesla Model X

In the first quarter of 2012, Tesla first showed the Model X concept electric crossover, while its production version only debuted in the fall of 2015.

The crossover has a stylish appearance, made in the same vein as the Model 3 and Model S, as well as spectacular rear doors "falcon wings" that open upwards.

The high-tech interior of the electric car meets with an informative dashboard and a huge 17-inch touchscreen monitor on the center panel, which is responsible for controlling most of the car's systems.

However, the main feature of the car is the presence of 762-horsepower electric motors, generating together 967 Nm of torque. This allows the car to accelerate to a hundred in 3.1 seconds, as well as develop the maximum 250 km / h.

The electric motor is powered by a 100 kW / h battery, which allows it to “cover” over 540 km.

1st place - Tesla Model S

The second model in Tesla's lineup was the Model S five-door premium liftback, first shown to the world public in 2009. True, it is worth noting that the car reached the conveyor only in 2012.

The car flaunts an elegant and dynamic appearance, a technological interior and a lot of modern "chips". However, the main "highlight" of the electric car is its three-phase electric motor, the top-end version of which is represented by two power plants - for 503 and 259 "horses", which gives a total of 762 liters. and limit 967 Nm of thrust.

This "arsenal" is enough to change a hundred in 2.5 seconds, develop a peak 250 km / h and overcome about 613 km on a single charge.

According to official figures, it takes about 15 hours for the car to be fully charged from household power, and in the case of using a special Supercharger charging station - about 75 minutes.

Conclusion

Today, 70% of the world's car manufacturers already have fully electric cars in the model range, the dynamic and driving characteristics of which are improving from year to year. In addition, every year the price of electric cars is gradually decreasing, which means that in the near future they are likely to be able to completely oust cars with internal combustion engines from the market.
